Papi’s Photo

In case anyone wanted to see the image that makes up this blog’s banner, here it is!  This is from when my grandfather was a Bersaglieri soldier for a couple years.  In Italy, every man, once he turns 18, is required to be in the army for two years.  Luckily, Papi was a part of it during peace-time, so he never had to go to war.  He had all the training, though, and he was able to play the bugle and wear a fancy hat full of pheasant feathers!

Doesn’t he look spiffy?

About lapiccolacoccinella

I consistently have trouble with self-definition, but I'll give it my best shot here.... I am a twentysomething Italian-American woman from New England who loves clowning and cats and goth subculture and animanga and art and writing and books. I am an aspiring author and artist who currently blogs for Amazing Stories Magazine. I love getting feedback and advice from readers in order to allow my work to grow.
